El Hermano Balbar ha permanecido más de 30 años en el enclave de Valleahogado, habiendo conocido a 4 Hermanos Mayores antes que él. Durante años fue el encargado de la biblioteca de la Cofradía. En estos años fue perfeccionando su conocimiento sobre las artes místicas que se practican en dicho enclave.
